Is anyone willing to advise if they used Ariba standard Bidder Agreement language or used modified? If modified, please share if able.

Project Management in Sourcing?
Hi,
First post here. Our company is just starting to use Ariba Sourcing, and has yet to utilize the project workflow piece of the tool. I would like to create a sample project with standard project management process, so that different comodity managers can use or reference. I'm just curious how everyone is utilizing this functionality, and what are some of the tasks and policies are typically included?
Thanks,
David
Negotiations
Can anyone recommend a negotiation workshop?
Sourcing Module: How many suppliers can be invited in an event?

Does anyone know the total number of suppliers that can be invited to a single RFI/RFP event?

Query on Reverse Auction Pre bid
For conducting a Reverse auction on Ariba Tool, Is it possible to fetch supplier responses in terms of prices directly from RFP as a pre-bid or starting point of the Auction?
OJEU Process
All European public sector organisations and utilities (including transport providers such as airports) have to publish solicitation notices and manage the expressions of interest before progressing to the tender stage. Ariba 10s1 does not provide this functionality (competitors such as Bravo, Oracle and BIP solutions do). How are other users of 10s1 getting around this?

Question on Reverse auctions:
Question on Reverse auctions -
Our current auction template setup used bid decrements, and for some reason when auction is in open bidding mode, the auction allows for bids to go from positive amounts to negative amounts. How do I build my auction to NOT accept negative amounts?
ex. Decrement: 50 -
bid entered: 30
The auction will follow the bid decrement rule and enter -20(negtative 20) as a bid. We want the auction to refuse any negative amounts being entered.
Ariba should return an error.
Is there options or setup I should do. Please advise.
Thanks you
Dominic C.
Team Access
Can we restrict access for the Team grader to a particular section/question/item of the RFP? So that only owner can see that particular section/

Form Development - Ariba On Demand Sourcing Implementation
Fellow Aribians,
As a part of Ariba Sourcing On Demand Implementation we have come across a concept 'Form Development' in Documents tab while creation of Sourcing Project . Ariba gave a Form Data Collection Template to fill the requirements and once the requirements sent to Ariba , it will configure it in Test Instance accordingly.
Could anyone please give me a clear idea how Form Development in the Sourcing Project will help the business with an appropriate example to get better understanding ?
Bid decrement/lot level
Hi all.
When I create an eAuction I often use lots with many line items. I choose then mainly "Bid at Item level, compete at Lot level" - it has many advantages.
But my concern is that bid decrement rules apply only to lot level. It is somehow counterintuitive. The participant sees the minimal bid decrement amount but it is applicable to lot level (one should make a lot of calculation to see its impact on line level) but has to give its bid to line level.
If I set initial values for particular participants they can even worsen its bid as long as they improve the lot level. It is not what I would like to have.
My dream would be to have bid decrement rule applicable to line item level, that the participant could either leave the line or improve it by a particular minimal amount. How do you cope with this issue?
Best regards
Technology Research/Benchmarking RFP Template
Does anyone have a template or historic event for Technology Research/Benchmarking subscription/service (i.e. Gartner)?
Thanks in advance!
Sourcing - Question on the Search option
Sourcing Search;
Conducting a search - Search Event
Selection Criteria chosen:
- Permissions - Projects I can view
- Project Type - Sourcing
- Event Type - No choice
- Status - Open
Show Columns:
- Publish time
- Bidding End time
I use this search with these specific selection criteria's often, te avoid manually selecting the criteria each time I perform this search, I tried to save this search in My Saved Searche folder.
When I try to Save this search in My Saved Searches- the Publish time and date and End time and date do not appear.
It seems it only saves certain selection criteria's. Is this a bug, or functionality not built in Ariba? I would think that you should be able to seave any type of searches
you wish to save, so these saved searches can be resused at any given time.
Thanks .
Regarding Index based Auctions in Sourcing
Dear Fellow Aribains,
We are using Ariba Sourcing Professional as a part on on demand implementation project.
We have already implemented reverse and dutch reverse auctions for our business procurement.
Now we would like to know the functionality of 'Index based Auctions using Amount (or) Percentage' from business point of view.
Can any one share their real time experiences in conducting Index based Auctions ?
Thanks & Regards,

Research: Users of electronic reverse auctions
Dear sourcing professionals,
I am doing a research for my master thesis for the Erasmus University (Rotterdam School of Management) on the buyer side of B2B electronic reverse auctions. Thus, this questionnaire only applies to buyers (not suppliers) who sourced with an electronic reverse auction. The questionnaire will take approximately 10 minutes of your time. Of course your participation will be anonymous and kept confidential.
Link to survey:
https://qtrial2014.az1.qualtrics.com/SE/?SID=SV_4SKWQFOtrTFchP7
Why should you participate?
A respondent, which I will randomly pick, will win a bol.com gift certificate of 20€ (www.bol.com).
I highly appreciate the time you have taken to fill in the questionnaire. Thanks in advance.
Kind regards,
Guido Vermeer

Is the meaning of 'event' always clear to your suppliers??
Hello,
Here in Europe, we frequently face the issue that our suppliers are not always acting on a system generated email to invite them to access an event. We have the feeling (based on some comments back from the market) that the suppliers believe the mail is marketing/sales inspired and that it has to do with a gathering type 'event' instead of an RFI/FRP/auction.
Do you have problems with suppliers understanding 'event' as a marketing/sales type of activity instead of RFI/RFP/auction?
If so, any suggestions to overcome this?
kind regards, Erwin Storms
